As an ongoing commitment to promoting the game of golf, the Stone Tree Golf Academy would like to welcome you to the 2010 golf season.
On our behalf, we invite you to explore the numerous programs that will be offered by our Golf Professionals during the coming year. Our Academy will let you experience unique professional services like - private lessons, video analysis, schools, clinics, camps, club fitting, on line "E-Teacher" and much more.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere of game improvement techniques, which in turn, will allow our students the opportunity to encounter "education and direction". The environment will promise to be fun and non-intimidating. We pledge to help golfers of all ages and abilities improve and enjoy the great game of golf.

Michael, currently in his 11th season at Stone Tree is the Director of Operations/Head Golf Professional. He has been a CPGA Professional for the past 17 years. Michael has a tremendous amount of education and experience in the area of game improvement and specializing in computer video analysis. He has played the game of golf for more than 25 years and has a true passion for teaching. His ultimate teaching goal is to help grow the game of golf by introducing and assisting golfers of all experience and skill levels.

Tyler is in his 5th season at Stone Tree. His friendly personality and passion to assist golfers make him a valuable asset to our teaching programs here at Stone Tree. Tyler takes great pride in heading up our very popular Future Links Junior Program and in helping golfers of all skill levels - from beginner to advanced. He is also a fully qualified instructor having completed levels 3 and 4 of the CPGA Teaching and Coaching Certification Program.

Andy, a long time Stone Tree employee enters his 2nd season as a certified CPGA Golf Professional. Born and raised in Owen Sound, Andy is well known to the numerous golfers that frequent Stone Tree on a regular basis. His likeable and popular personality make him a perfect addition to our professional teaching staff. Andy's qualifications are validated and thorough as a result of his completion of the CPGA Teaching and Coaching Certification Program Levels 1 and 2.

Private lesson rates are based on one (1) person per session.

Additional persons (up to a maximum of 4) are welcome for an additional $15.00 per person per session. Duration of lesson will be extended accordingly.

Private Playing Lesson
All private playing lessons are approximately 90 minutes in duration. Learn course management, mental focus, specialty shots and more! A great opportunity to have your personal golf game diagnosed by a professional.

Golf 101 Schools - "Learn to Play Golf, It's Fun!"
If you are a beginner or occasional golfer that wants to learn the basic fundamentals of this wonderful game called golf. Michael Todd, our Head Golf Professional will show you everything from grip, aim, set up and, as everyone knows the short game is one of the most important elements in the game, so you will be introduced to chipping and putting.

"Great Touch" Short Game School
It is a proven fact that the majority of our shots in a round of golf occur from 100 yards and less. Why then do we always see the driving range full and the putting/chipping green empty? It is well documented that the mid to high handicap golfer suffers from poor short game skills. In an effort to lower scores, a golfer must learn the proper short game techniques. Aspects of the game to be covered include chipping, pitching, putting, and bunker play. Participants will also be evaluated using a scorecard game that will help establish a new personal standard of excellence. Improve your scoring ability and join us today!

Custom Club Fitting
"A person would not buy clothes that didn't fit, nor should anyone buy golf clubs that don't fit." Human beings come in different "shapes and sizes". Therefore, fitting golf equipment to your unique characteristics can be very important. When fitting golf equipment properly, there are numerous variables. They include: club lofts, club lies, club length, swingweight, grip size and type, shaft flex and material, and finally the set makeup. The Stone Tree Golf Academy makes use of the PING Custom Fitting Program to aid in all its club fitting services.

The fee for custom club fitting is $40.00. If clubs are purchased from the Stone Tree Pro Shop, we will deduct this charge from the price of your clubs. All custom fitting sessions are approximately 30-40 minutes in duration.

On-Line "E-Teacher" Services
In a world of technological advances, the ability to learn the game of golf will not fall behind. To all our students who participate in our various learning programs we offer you "E-Teacher". This is an innovative way to assist you in your continuing education process. This service is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply e-mail your concerns and questions to your instructor at any time and we'll respond to you in a timely manner. A simple suggestion, swing thought, explanation, or download visual is usually "just what the doctor ordered". "E-Teacher"...because we care about you now and in the future. Complimentary "E-Teacher" is available to all program graduates.
